Ethical Hacking and Types of Hackers

What is Ethical Hacking and Who are Hackers ?

You all must have heard the term "Ethical Hacking", what does it actually mean ?
Ethical Hacking is the art of hacking or breaking into systems for constructive and security testing purposes. There is a myth among many people who think that hacking is a crime and an illegal activity, However, this is almost never the case. Hacking in itself is a very vague and vast term. It basically means to use something to conduct an activity it wasn't actually designed for.
For example-
Lets assume your pen isn't working properly and you give it a little jerk and it starts working perfectly again. You may not realize it but this is also an act of hacking ! How cool is that !
Now hacking is not making pens work, in the world of computers it means to break into systems and programs which can be for both good and bad purposes.

Who are "Hackers" ?
When you think of a hacker, what comes to your mind ?? A geek with a computer doing illegal stuff ! Wrong ! This is almost never the case, hackers are of many types !

      1.    Black Hat Hackers ! 😈
  • These are the bad guys. They hack into networks and companies for personal gains and profits which is illegal as they do not have any kind of prior consent of the owner of the network or organization they are hacking into.
      2.    White Hat Hackers ! 😇
  • These are the good guys. They hack into systems and machines with prior consent of the owner and do it for good purposes like securing the system so that black hat hackers cannot break into them. They help organizations by keeping them secure in the field of cyber security.

      3.    Grey Hat Hackers ! 🐱‍💻
